Book Club in a Bag
Do you belong to a
book club? Have you ever wanted to start your own book
club? We can help! The library now offers a service
called Book Club in a Bag. Each bag contains 10 copies
of a title, discussion information, tips for the
discussion leader, and a book club sign-up sheet. For

Looking for a good
book? Look no further! The Farmingdale Public Library
has created a virtual readers' advisory service just for
you called Book Fanatics of Farmingdale (BFF)! Just
click
here and fill out the form and a librarian will
respond to you within 72 hours. Never be without
something to read again!
Call Ahead Pick-Up
Call us before you come to the library to request a book, DVD,
CD, or Book on CD, If the item is available, the librarian will
put it aside for you to pick it up. (DVDs will be held for 1
hour)

Center
Whether you're the college-bound student looking for financial
aid information, the college graduate looking for that first
job, a job hunter, or a career changer, our library's Career and
Education Resource Center offers free and confidential career
services.

The library has 24 public computers with Internet access for the
public to use. We also offer Wi-Fi throughout the library.

Training
If you need help with your eReader device, we can help! Stop by the Reference Desk any time
for one-on-one training for the: Kindle Fire, iPad, and Nook.

Homebound Services
A free, personalized delivery service of library materials to
patrons confined to their homes due to physical disability or
illness. A library volunteer delivers and picks up items. There
are no overdue fines on materials loaned to the homebound.
You may borrow both regular and large type books, fiction and
non-fiction. Specific books can be requested by title and we can
assist you in choosing books based on your preferences. No AV
materials may be borrowed.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Can't find something in the library? With Interlibrary Loans,
patrons can request library materials from other libraries. Just
visit the Reference Desk and a librarian will be happy to help
you get the materials you need.
Nassau Digital Doorway
Using
Nassau Digital Doorway you can now download
audiobooks and eBooks from the comfort of your own home!
Download, listen, and transfer titles to your compatible
MP3 player, iPhone, iPod, eReader, or home
computer.
You will need your library card to get
started.
Notary Service
The Farmingdale Public Library offers Notary Service at the
Reference Desk. There is no charge for this service. For hours, please call the
library to make sure a notary is available. Patrons need to
bring proper documentation and if needed, a witness.
Senior Connections
An information referral and counseling service offered at the
library. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
and Thursdays from
10:00am - 12:00pm.
