The historic Kykuit mansion has been home to four generations of the Rockefeller Family and is considered to be one of the finest Beaux Arts Houses in the nation. Our guided tour will feature outstanding collections of European and Asian furnishings, art and sculpture. The beautifully terraced gardens include fountains and pavilions overlooking the Hudson. The Coach Barn features a collection of horse drawn carriages and classic automobiles. Our guide will share stories that highlight the lives of the Rockefeller family and their contributions to philanthropy, conservation, business and the arts. Lunch will be at the nearby Sunset Cove Restaurant which also offers wonderful views of the Hudson River. Each registrant must show proof of Farmingdale District #22 residency. Registration for non-residents begins April 9. Call first for availability. Credit or Debit cards accepted, as well as checks made payable to the Farmingdale Public Library. No cash please. No refunds.
