Long Island Memories: Farmingdale Public Library Digital Collection This collection gives access to historic images and historic newspapers of the Farmingdale area.
Special Needs Collection
The Farmingdale Public Library has a Special Needs Collection located in the Children's Department. Please come and visit our extensive collection of materials. This collection is designed to assist all members of the community, including parents, family members, educators, all therapists, social workers, and psychologists in understanding and addressing the issues of the developmentally disabled from infancy through adulthood. The Farmingdale Public Library now has a Homework Center located behind the Reference stacks. This collection contains all the textbooks for the Farmingdale School District. Please a librarian for further details.

This collection offers a wide variety of books for parents. The titles cover information on children from birth to adolescents. This collection is located in the Youth Services Department.
The Teacher's Center collection is comprised of books, magazines, and videos geared toward teachers and school library media specialists.
